Software Carpentries Workshop
The VU will be hosting a four-day workshop in collaboration with the library. The workshop aims to provide an introduction to programming with R to broaden your skills for analyzing and plotting your data. Through live coding you will be introduced to the basics of R, mostly following the software Carpentries curriculum. In addition you will get guidance in applying your newly acquired skills to something relevant for your own research (e.g. by doing some analysis and/or visualizing your data). This latter element is a pilot. It is intended to serve both the purpose of gaining more experience with and building confidence in programming, as well as providing the opportunity to create something useful for your own project that you can build up on after the workshop.
Coffee and tea are included. If you have any questions about the workshop or need to cancel your registration, please contact us at dsc@uva.nl.
By signing up you agree to comply with The Carpentries Code of Conduct.
