Former IvI PhD student Harrie Oosterhuis received the Andreas Bonn Medal for his PhD Thesis.

'I'm incredibly honoured and humbled to receive an Andreas Bonn medal for my PhD thesis, from 2020, awarded by the Genootschap ter bevordering van Natuur-, Genees- en Heelkunde, founded in 1790 by Andreas Bonn.'

Three Andreas Bonn medals are awarded every five years for three different domains. My PhD thesis received the award for the domain of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Many thanks to Maarten de Rijke for being my PhD promotor and his invaluable contributions to the research in the thesis, and thanks to the Genootschap for granting me this award.
