The application for the September 2026 intake is closed. For the February 2027 intake, the registration in Studielink is open. We welcome you to apply for the September 2027 intake from October 2026.
Are you a UvA Economics and Business student?

Application process for all other students
Follow these steps to apply for the February or September 2026 intake.

1. Follow the deadlines
February 2027 intake
For non-EU/EEA students with an international (non-Dutch) degree
You require a Visa or want to apply for UvA Housing 1 November 2026 For EU/EEA students with an international (non-Dutch) degree
You would like to apply for UvA Housing 1 November 2026 You do not want to apply for UvA Housing 1 December 2026 For students with a Dutch degree
1 January 2027 (or 1 November 2026 if you require a new Visa/Residence permit)
September 2026 intake
For non-EU/EEA students with an international (non-Dutch) degree
You are applying for a scholarship 15 January 2026 You require a Visa and/or want to apply for UvA Housing 1 April 2026 For EU/EEA students with an international (non-Dutch) degree
You would like to apply for UvA Housing 1 April 2026 You do not want to apply for UvA Housing 1 May 2026 For students with a Dutch degree
1 June 2026 (or 1 April 2026 if you require a new Visa/Residence permit)

2. Check the entry requirements (February and September 2026 intake)
The entry requirements depend on where you have completed your prior education.
- Applicants with an international degree
- Applicants from another UvA faculty or Dutch university
- Applicants from a Dutch (HBO) or European University of Applied Sciences
If you do not meet the above entry requirements, you might be eligible to do the pre-Master's programme.

3. Register in Studielink
Studielink is the national registration system for students applying to Dutch universities. When registering, you will be asked to choose the track that interests you most.
Please note: This is not your full application. You need to submit all your documents in Embark (see step 5) for us to assess your eligibility.

4. Check your personal enrolment checklist in SIS
After registering in Studielink, you will receive your UvAnetID. Use it to log in to SIS and view your personalised enrolment checklist with all next steps for completing your enrolment.

5. Submit your online application in Embark
Upload and submit all required documents in Embark to complete your application. Remember to keep track of the deadlines to ensure your application is submitted on time.

6. Pay the tuition fee (after admission)
After you have been admitted, make sure to pay your tuition fee on time. The deadline is 31 August 2026.

7. Next Steps: Visa, Housing, Insurance, etc.
Congratulations on your (conditional) admission! It's time to focus on other essential matters like arranging a visa (if necessary), finding accommodation, and preparing for the start of your academic journey. We will send you all the necessary information by email after your admission.
